Javier García Ramírez, a government secretary in the 2005-11 government of Mario Marín in Puebla, is now as well wanted by the Mexican police and Interpol, as he has likely fled the country. Here's a picture of the man:

He is the second functionary sought arrested this year from the government of  Marín, a protector of pedophiles and rapists. García is accused of having ratted away at least 23 million pesos.

Here's another picture, of his car park, which was just confiscated: A Range Rover, a BMW X6, a Chevrolet Suburban, Audi 5 series, and a VW Touareg. Pretty nice sets of wheels for a state functionary, wouldn't one think?

Authorities in Puebla arrested Alfredo Arango García, who was secretary of health in the terrible 2005-11 administration of child rapist-protector and misogynist Mario Marín Torres, on corruption charges.

Will Marín ever share the same fate? I keep on dreaming.

Peña Nieto appears with a protector of child rapists: The new PRI?

This is thoroughly disturbing: PRI's presidential candidate Enrique Peña Nieto recently met with Mario Marín and his team; the disgraced  former Puebla governor even appeared in public in a rally yesterday in Puebla where Peña Nieto was speaking, although they carefully avoided a photo of the two together.

To refresh the memory of those who may have forgotten Mario Marín: This is a a man who was caught on tape plotting with now-imprisoned child rapist Jean Succar Kuri to harass and sexually assault Lydia Cacho, an intrepid journalist investigating child abuse scandals.

To Peña Nieto's disgrace, this is hardly the first time he meets with Marin, representative of the absolute worst of the PRI. Marin should the thrown in jail, not coveted by a man likely to be Mexico's new president.

One hundred days: Governor of Puebla, Rafael Moreno Valle, who notably ended PRI's 80-plus-years monopoly on holding the state government, said that as the a 90-day(!) process of transferring the government has just come to an end, a "more profound process" of investigating the previous government of  Mario Marín may now commence.

I certainly hope so. Moreno Valle said evidence has already been gathered of many "anomalies" during the disastrous misrule of the scoundrel Mario Marín's government, and he reiterated his campaign pledge to castigate those who are found to have abused power. Mario Marín is the obvious candidate here, and if Moreno Valle is truly serious, he should take on Marín directly.

Yet one hundred days have already passed, which makes this reiteration sound hollow. I hope I am wrong here.

Pederast Jean Succar Kuri finally sentenced. When will his friend Mario Marín be arrested?

Jean Succar Kuri, a Mexican businessman of Lebanese origin, was convicted to 13 years in prison for pederasty. All nice and well. But when will authorities actually go after his friend and protector, former Puebla Governor Mario Marín? To recall: The scandal that nearly let to Marin's ouster in 2006-2007 involved exactly these very two individuals: Marín and a close associate of Succar, Kamel Nacif, was heard chatting in overtly friendly tones (the famous phrase "Gober Precioso"), and plotting how to harass journalist Lydia Cacho, who was on the trail of Cancún-based pederasts with close connection to the Puebla government.

If new Puebla Governor Rafael Moreno Valle truly wants to be a governor of "change," he should immediately launch investigations of Succar's connections to Marin and his Puebla dynasty. One may only hope that the former's conviction creates some momentum here.

Rafael Moreno Valle assumes as Puebla governor; "no one will be above the law":

Rafael Moreno Valle assumed as the new governor of Puebla yesterday. He sure will have his work cut out for him: The disgraced protector of pedophiles, Mario Marín, left the state in a terrible state, far worse than when he took office in 2005: Massive crime increase, among the worst (29th place) states in terms of corruption; a bankrupt pension system; a  jump in the state's financial obligations from three to nine million pesos; and so forth.

No wonder Marin was booed upon the mere mention of his name; he left hurriedly from the inauguration ceremony.

Governor Moreno Valle in his speech said that "no one will be above the law," and that an audit will be made:

"We will make a timely review of the resource management of the of the past administration; there will be no persecution, but neither cover-ups."

If Moreno Valle is serious, he should start by throwing Mario Marín in jail.

"Goodbye, precious pederast": Puebla sends off Mario Marín

Today is the last day of Mario Marín's six-year criminal reign of Puebla.
El Universal reports that banners appeared around Puebla today, with slogans such as "In Puebla, Never More Precious Ones" and "Goodbye, precious pederast," in clear allusion to Marín's protection of pedophiles, leaked in the infamous phone conversations of 2006. I still have not given up the hope that Marín will eventually rot in jail.

Good riddance.

Mario Marín: Farewell to a criminal, backed to the last by the "new" PRI

It was am embarrassing charade. Although chairs had been set up for more than 10,000 spectators, less than half showed up, with the result that event organizers were scrambling to remove the empty white plastic chairs as outgoing Puebla Governor Mario Marín began his farewell speech. As more and more damning revelations has surfaced, Marín's supporters have steadily dissipated - though not all.

Mario Marín, to recall just a few fun facts, is a protector of pedophiles, someone who has abused his political position for sexual favors, and is a possible ring leader in a human trafficking/pedophile ring. Purely political reasons has prevented him from being thrown in jail; this man is a criminal of the worst kind. As Katia D' Artigues noted in her column today, only a massive spending of close to 200 million pesos on the local media has so far bought their silence and stopped them from pursuing these and many other scandals.

Yet guess who came to offer their respects? Well, not those of the PRI's old guard that one might expect - Raúl Salinas, Roberto Madrazo, even Elba Esther Gordillo, who had all been invited but chose not to attend - but national party leader Beatriz Paredes and Governor Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico State - the faces of the so-called "new" PRI, which ostensibly does not share the authoritarian and vertical features of the old PRI.

Politics is about swallowing camels, yes, and like the production of sausage, it is at times better not to see how it is being done, yet by showing up at an event to honor a criminal like Marin, Paredes and Peña Nieto just dragged themselves a bit closer to the sewer from which scum like Marín originated, taking the "new" PRI with them in the process.

Mariano González Zarur becomes Tlaxcala governor; the worst of PRI resurfaces from the sewer

Mariano González Zarur's assumption as governor of Tlaxcala Saturday truly brought out the best and the worst of the PRI - representatives of the latter included highly discredited ex-governors Roberto Madrazo and Ulises Ruiz, as well as soon-to-be former governor, the ill-famed protector of pederasts, Mario Marín of Puebla - a man who belongs in a federal prison rather than as an invited (presumably) guest to a gubernatorial inauguration ceremon

The state was wrested from the PAN, following the six-year rule of Héctor Israel Ortiz Ortiz. González Zarur promised a thorough house cleaning of the former state administration; notably, in the inauguration ceremony, the eight chairs set aside for PAN's state deputies were empty.

Ciro Gómez Leyva: "Will Moreno Valle throw Mario Marín in prison?"

Rafael Moreno Valle will finally assume as as governor of Puebla in a couple of week's time. In that regard, political commentator Ciro Gómez Leyva asks a very pertinent question: Will the new governor send Mario Marín in prison? Marín is probably one of the most reviled governors in recent Mexican history, and new information keep popping up: In Lydia Cacho's colum, this excellent journalist is revealing new information she has uncovered regarding the "Precious Governor": Marín apparently has set up his own aviation company through his son Mario Marín García, using public funds as well as those donated from other PRI bigshots like former governor of Quintana Roo, Joaquin Hendriks, crafts of which have been involved in, according to Cacho's sources in the DEA, at the very least transporting druglords and contraband, and possibly for smuggling young girls as part of pedophile and prostitution networks.
We only know fractions of the dirty dealings of this despicable governor: May more soon come to the light of day, and may Mario Marín end up rotting in prison.

War against women continues to the end of pedophile-protector Mario Marín's government

In the months following the infamous decision of Puebla's state congress in March 2009 to change the state constitution to in order to make abortion a stated criminal, the state attorney general/prosecutor's office in Puebla has so far launched investigations of at least 30 women. Local PRI deputy Rocío García Olmedo, who fought against the law, warned that the state could become "another Guanajuato."


The women range in age from 12 to 37, and one should also note that the Puebla government has fought against contraceptives in the name of family values, while openly persecuting women who have for different reasons carried out abortions. 

To recall, this "reform" was signed into law by outgoing Governor Mario Marín, who gained national and even international noteriority when journalist Lydia Cacho exposed him as a protector of pedophiles in the infamous "Gober precioso" scandal where Cacho had exposed networks of pedophiles that involved Puebla businessmen close to Marín.

As for Marín, the governor was most recently involved in yet another scandal when it was revealed in June this year that he as mayor of Puebla had abused his position to obtain sex from a minor  - who was no more than 17 when the relationship ended, and quite likely qualifies as statutory rape, in addition to the blatant abuse of his office for sexual favors. 

This protector of "family values" has so far avoided prison, though notably he failed to impose a designated successor as governor in the past July elections, where the PRD and PAN in a coalition managed to wrest Puebla from the PRI after 81 years of monopoly of power, undoubtedly much due to the behavior of its infamous governor.
