Former mayor murdered for refusing drug gangs

Former mayor Margarito Genchi Casiano of Florencio Villarreal, Guerrero, was murdered in June ahead of the elections when he sought to become a local deputy in the legislature.

According to authorities, which have now arrested six presumed culprits from the fittingly entitled outfit Comando del Diablo, Genchi was murdered because he "did not want to align" with them.

A sad story that again belies the charade that only those guilty of "something" are the ones who die in Calderón's war.

The war is caused by the gangs my friend. You should be aware of the war of the gangs in Mexico.

  2. I am not sure I follow, and believe you may have misunderstood. A reference for a statement that refers to a common claim made by Calderón that (almost) all of those dying in the war are guilty of something? You can google that for yourself; it's been repeated many times by the president, and I think murders like the one in Guerrero demonstrate that many, many innocents as well die. I did not suggest that Calderón are murdering these.
