On the other hand, he is also a pretty well-respected political scientist, and knows a lot about elections matters and parties. That will come handy as well.
Yikes! The administration which is going to be remembered for its questionable electoral legitimacy saves its most sensitive post for a political fixer transferred from the secret police just as the election season is getting underway. I expect we'll hear suspicions from the usual suspects.
